Optimized hydraulic system from BPS
First and foremost, modern pumps and valves must be energy efficient. And that is exactly what we want to assure you that our products are. By using computer-aided simulations, we gain detailed knowledge of the complex flow processes in your pumps and valves and can thus optimize the hydraulic system.
Efficient and tailored to your needs
Ensuring optimized hydraulic systems at KSB means constantly refining and improving the design of pumps and valves. We use computer-aided simulations to give us a more detailed and realistic picture of the flow processes. This not only enables us to develop an optimal hydraulic system, but we can also offer customer-specific solutions in a very short time.
Advantages of simulation:
Improved hydraulic system
Low energy consumption
Hydraulic efficiency
High production per size (production per unit volume)
BPS's computer simulation
The three-dimensional geometry of the pumps and valves is the basis. This volume model is made available to the simulation program. Once the inlet and outlet conditions have been defined, the actual computer simulation is started. The computer runs automatically without user intervention. The solution is evaluated, analyzed and documented. If the result does not meet the specified requirements, the model is modified and the process starts again.
Detailed tests for maximum quality
The finished pumps and valves with optimized hydraulic systems then undergo testing on one of our many test rigs, which of course meet all current test standards.
An example of BPS's success
At the request of a major customer, BPS development engineers designed, in a single step, a version of a two-stage pump design that has proven successful for decades. Before starting production of the pump, BPS hydraulics specialists used a fully functional model to check the accuracy of the flow values simulated in CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis. This knowledge was then incorporated into the final development.
